Question My girlfriend of a year and I are planning a visit soon. Her father will not hear of meeting me becaus we are an interracial couple. Apparently the rest of her immediate family feel some what the same. I have met her brother and sister while in college, they seem to be ok with me, that is until their dad steps in. Any advice on how to deal with my girlfriend's family?

Just be patient and be yourself! So are u meeting the parents or not? Well if so then be yourself and show them that you are treating their daughter right and everything. Most likely after meeting them it will be easier for them to accept the relationship. You'll eventually grow on them you know. I hope that if you do meet them everything goes great!Good luck!
