depends on how big the wolf pack is there was a pack found with four hundred and the male weighed over two hundred fifty pounds there packs alpha male could kill a lion

Well first of all the lionness would not fight it would be the older males against the wolf pack. So it would really be 2 large male lions vs. 15-20 wolves. The wolves would simply overwealm the lions. And wolves are much larger than dogs much faster and have much stronger bite force.
