Interspecies Conflict/Crocodile Vs Alligator

The answer by Dee should not compare crocs and alligators fighting to that of lions and tigers.  The alpha male lion spends his life fighting and the female does most of the hunting. The male lion fights and will kill other lions and will attack several hyenas at once, not to eat, but just because he wants to kill... The tiger (maybe smarter) avoids all fights and mostly hunts.. Lion being smaller would still win because it is his nature to fight.

I totally agree with you on the Croc beating a Alligator because they are much bigger and aggressive but were you have said that gators have a more formidable bite force, its just that crocodiles have the stongest bite forces on the planet even greater than a lion or a great white shark.

It is usually a tiger vs lion . I prefer the lion being more fearless but I have been hotly debated just like this question there is no right answer both species have very tough animals and really aggressive individuals The crocs aggression isnt an issue they are only aggressive to prey. An alligator like a great white, bull shark or crocodile isnt built to be scared of any beast. My guess is if hey are of equal size go for the gator. Lately male gators have caused human fataliies too. The gator simply isnt a man eater(normally) while the more aggressive croc is.

Lions are currently larger than tigers and are more aggressive in nature. Bengal tigers and siberian tigers top 180 to 200 kg. Male lions top 230 kg regularly.

Crocodiles are more aggressive, but they are not as powerfully built as alligators. Alligators have wider and broader snouts and have more dangerous powerful bites. Nile crocodiles are much smaller than alligators if you compare with average weights.

Hi! To all those who have asked serious questions about interspecies conflict, I announce I will be leaving AllExperts for good. Im sad about it, but I must do it. Thank you to all of you, and before I leave, I want to give you some advice; please, read good books about animals, visit them in their natural habitats, but please, DO NOT THINK THAT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE SEEN MANY VIDEOS ON YOU TUBE! It seems, and it makes me very sad, that there is some kind of community of animal fight fans out there who care nothing about real relationships between wild animals, and only want to know who would "destroy", "crush" or "anihilate" that other animal. Perhaps it was my fault; perhaps I chose the wrong subject. Had I know that I was helping to violent thoughts about animals fights, or even helping that morbid interest on animal fights to grow, I would have never suggested this category to be created. So, I would like to apologize to all of you people who did care about animals, who did want to learn about them. To all of you, fight fans, I would like to repeat, what you see in YOU TUBE is not the real animal world, please try to get to know them better, or, if you only want to know who will kill who, please watch Celebrity Deathmatch. And, again to those who do care, please do not believe to anyone who says he/she knows about animals if his or her references are links to You Tube. Best regards to all of you Dewey D. Jorin P.S- I almost forgot; I apologize to all of you about my bad English.

Nothing teachs you more about wildlife than working with wild animals yourself.
