Interspecies Conflict/questions

QuestionQUESTION: I was wondering what happen if grizzly take on the largest breed of draft horses? For example: a prime male grizzly decided to chase down draft horses (which weight more than 2000 lbs and that's average) and the stallion decided to fight the bear to death. Which one will win? Remember the draft horses are bred to pulling the wagons and great in shape.
Also what about happen if male lion decided to take on groups of male baboons. Will baboons fight back or run away like hyenas?
Also have you watched the animal faceoff the black bear v.s alligator? I think its not right. The alligator was supposed to win but he died of scratches from bear. Any reptiles can survive that. So what's your real answer on the alligator v.s black bear.
Do pack of wolves sometimes hunting bear cubs of any bear species? I saw it on tv but there's no ending of wolves attacking black (or was it grizzly?) sow with a cub.
ANSWER: Hi, Dean
It's nice to meet you.
Grizzly vs Draft horse, I would say grizzly 9/10 times if is far stronger as the draft horse would probably get on it's hind legs and hit the bear with it's forequarters the bear would probably hit the draft horse skull with it's paws and either shatter the skull or tackle the draft horse to the ground and bite the belly.
What would happen if a male lion decided to take on a troop of male baboons. The baboons would probably run away the only animal a chacma baboon will run away from on first sight is the lion.
I have seen a little bit of a few animal face off episodes but not an alligator vs black bear. Well a black bear vs alligator the black bear would be victorious if managed to rip the alligators soft lower belly however if the alligator where to fight the black bear in water it would come be victorious.
Do a pack of wolves sometimes hunt bear cubs of bear species ? Yes they do including not only grizzly and black bear cubs but adult grizzly's and black bears. Well there have been reports anyway and I wouldn't be suprised a large pack of wolves is a force to be dealt with.
I hope this helps.

QUESTION: All answers expect bear/draft horse one, were helpful. I really doubt that 500lbs grizzly will take on really huge draft horses especially 2000+lbs full of powerful legs and heavy muscle. A blow into horse's head will stop horse if the bear can reach its head especially 20 hands stallion who have powerful legs and heavy muscled body. I don't think the grizzly can able wrestle the horse down to ground. Plus this draft breed will not tired out easily than light horses (riding horses). Even bison bulls and cattle bulls stay out of the horses rear. I really doubt that grizzly can break the horses bones if he goes to the heavily armed rear. I would give the grizzly 4/10 if he can grab the only weakest spot: the head. I know the grizzly's powerful animals but the draft horses' even more powerful than the bear. A single horse can pull more than its weight so 500lbs bear's really like a warm up for the draft horse. That's my option personally.
I got some more questions left.
Will cougar able to hunting the wild pigs (wild boar)?
How come the hyena clan don't defend each other if they were go against the african wild dog packs?
What happen if a pack of wolves or coyotes found american badger?
Can a lone wolf kill badger?
And finally if crocodile grab the cape buffalo or its calf, will the herd return and gored the crocodile if its on land and in shallow water?
AnswerHi, again Dean
I am glad to see you are still interested :)
If you have any other doubts please feel free to say your opinion will be respected.
About a grizzly not taking on an animal four times it's size smaller grizzlies have been known to take on 2,000 pound bison and win by crushing the skull. There paws are like steal cinder blocks, or cinder blocks and there bones are very hard much harder than those of felines. In fact I remember a report about a fight between two brown bears where one bear grabbed the other bear under the jaw with it's jaw and threw the bear into the air. Bears as tough as they are survived. Also bears have been shot by humans a considerable amount of times and survived. I think the bear is more powerful than the draft horse in the forequarters but just the same that is my person opinion.
Will a cougar be able to hunt a wild boar? Absolutely they have been known to hunt moose and are as strong as 8 adult men, and can leap 15 feet vertical and 45 feet distance wise.
What will happen if a pack of wolves or coyotes found an American badger, well the badger could fend off the wolves or coyotes by holding it's ground and not being intimidated if they where to see the animal they would probably just leave the little critter alone besides the cubs which would probably tease the little animal. Of course if they wanted to kill it they could.
If a crocodile grabbed a cape buffalo will the herd return and gore the crocodile ? Well if the crocodile where to grab a calf the mother would very well return to help it if the crocodile didn't drag the calf deep into water or already kill it which is likely crocodilians are very very very powerful animals. I wouldn't be suprised if some of the animals came near the crocodile and tried to gore it but even then I doubt the crocodile would let go of it's killer grip.
I hope this helps.
