Hello,
I just submitted my invention to Davison. I was a little leery about using a company like this but I couldn't find any bad information on them. Unfortunately, I just read a question, which mentions an inventors dealings with this company and it didn't sound to promising. I don't want to waste any money but I don't have any ideas on where to start to get my invention started and thought it would be easier if a reputable company could help me through the whole process. I just submitted my idea and have not spent any money yet.
What are your thoughts on using services or companies like those provided by Davison?

My personal opinion is that invention "marketing" companies are a complete waste of money and time. I have stacks of invention companies binders and folders including Davison ......by the time dust settles approx a year after one has paid, one ends up with pages and pages inside fancy-looking binders.

TONS OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE FROM INVENTORS (enter the term "Davison" in the search box at www.ripoffreport.com): I stopped counting after page twelve as there are so many it right boggled my mind inventors after having read their Contract would sign in the first place)!

In closing, the last time I checked the patent office complaint page, most of the complaints had fallen off it but likely it's building again.
You've probably figured out I don't like any invention submission companies. What you should be doing is joining your local non-profit inventor's club to get lots of free info and some direction. Or, send me an email and I'll see if I can help you with links and resources after I've signed a "Non Disclosure/Non Compete Agreement."
