Inventing New Products/Inventions - Invention Companies

Question
Mark,

I am looking into getting into the invention industry.  I have a mechanical engineering degree and an MBA.  I have owned a real estate company for the past 5 years and I am ready to get back into product design.  I was wondering if you could recommend some companies that take products from idea to product.

Thanks,
Mike

Answer
Hello Mike,

There are thousands of companies so I can't give you any "look at this company" type of recommendations.  There are basically three types of companies to consider.

1. big companies with R&D departments
2. industrial design consulting firms
3. start-ups

The first two you can Google.  To find a start-up you would have to network with people or do your own.

You might also consider law firms that specialize in patents. Many of the same skills could be applied in a different way.

I'm trying to get the Predictive Innovation Method into companies schools. Someone that can help with that would be a be help to me.

Cordially,

Mark
