Inventing New Products/Inventions/Line of stuffed funny faces

Marty, my idea hasn't been done before. I'm sure you've heard that though. These faces would be more like plush heads with tiny dangling bodies, meant to be funny and hug-able like stuffed animals. The challenge is having a prototype made that does justice to the concept and drawings I've made. What are you thoughts about outfits like JAAG Plush doing prototype work? Legit? Reputable? Do they come through? I only have my drawings in .pdf format, so I can't upload them. Just your thoughts about these custom plush organizations will be enough for now. Thanks, Hal

Hello Hal,

Unfortunately, I won't be of much help in answering this question as I have had no previous experience with the company you mentioned. What I would do if I were you, is Google everything that you can about the company as well as asking them for a client  list. Please be advised, that the client list they might provide will only must surely give you positive feedback about the company.  So check the Better Business Bureau as well as sites like Ripoff Report snd Snopes.

Additionally, I would ask them for sample of what they can do. Of course do not tell them your idea in detail but say that it's a plush toy that has 'doll like' features so they know what kind of sample to send you.   Then talk more  to the company, talk to sales people see what kind of deal you can work out and most importantly, follow your gut.  That's the most important part of this whole process.

Best of luck and happy inventing!

Commercialization of an idea is truly an art form and I'm really good at letting people borrow my paintbrush. Although, it's important to note that you are your own artist, I can't paint what you see in your mind, only you can do that. But I can help. I can answer questions about honing your idea and helping it to become more real in your mind, your research, and within your speaking. I can answer questions about market research, validation, and where to go to make your first contact. My expertise is in answering the large questions that you have into more manageable pieces. I can also assist you in finding the source of the data that you can use to prove and pitch your idea if that's the path that you're on.

In my opinion, the current way to invent is inherently flawed. Regular people like us normally get “eaten up” by the proverbial sharks in the water. (corporations, invention submission companies, lawyers, etc)

We can not stand for this any longer; you feel this too, yes?

I have helped people think and re-think their ideas for years. Nobel Prize Winner Albert von Szent-Gyorgyi once said that "Discovery consists of seeing what everybody else has seen, and thinking what no one has thought." I agree with this truth with all of my heart. Now let's talk about your question, your passion, and how I can help your idea gain momentum if it is ready. If your idea is not ready for the market yet, I'll help you determine how you can get ready.
