Question
We will be in Ireland December 24, 25 and 26. Will most of the general tourist places be closed? Will we have problems finding someplace open for food?

Answer
Dear Kirsten
Thank you for choosing to visit Ireland.
Many hotels restaurants and tourist attractions close for the holidays and some such as Altamount Gardens in County Carlow close for the full month of December.
Pubs who normally serve food may offer only very restricted service on these days.
If you indicate the particular areas of the Country that you will be visiting I will check some individual establishments to ascertain Christmas opening plans.
kind regards
hugh
