About George Matsagouras
Expertise
I can answer everything about anything concerning Iron Maiden except questions regarding what type of equipment the band uses and questions concerning playing techniques and tablatures.

Experience
I've been an Iron Maiden fan for 15 years. I have been researching on the band for many years and have acquired in-depth knowledge of all things Maiden. I have read many books on them (official or not), hundreds of interviews from band members (past or present), I have interviewed some people close to the band, I have vast knowledge on their lyrical inspiration sources and, finally, I have written a yet-to-be-published commentary book on their discography (in Greek, called "Secrets of the Iron Maiden").

Education/Credentials
Graduated from Medicine University of Athens, Greece
Proficiency and Lower Diplomas in English

Question
Hey George,
Do you know how long it takes Iron Maiden to rehearse their show before they start their tour?
And do you know how much it cost them to put on a live show everynight for this tour or any other tours of the past? I happen to have an interests in what goes on behind the scenes of Iron Maiden tours and concerts.
Thanks, Gerald

Answer
Hello Gerald, they usually warm up for 2-3 weeks, rehearsing the setlist and another week for rehearsing on the actual stage, with lightshow, backdrops, props etc. As far as costs go, they have never been disclosed, but I would guess that, although the transformation of the 757 for this tour cost them half a million $, it eventually saved them a lot of money on touring and was the greatest promotion idea this band ever came up with. I'm sorry that I can't give you the numbers but they simply aren't told. Cheers
