Irrigation - sprinkler won't turn on at wall box

Expert: Jeff Wooten - 10/5/2009

Question
Turned off sprinkler at the wall unit in garage on Thursday.  Came back on Tuesday, tried to just run a manual on to get some water down on fertilizers and won't turn on.  The wall box shows digitally it's on zone one and continues through all six zones, but no water is being sprinkled.  The outside facet works that is connected to the main.  Changed the 1 am fuse in the box. and unplugged it too.  It's a rain bird system.

Answer
This could be any of several things.  Try manually bleeding one of your valve just to make sure that the water to the valve is on.  Remove the power to the controller for at least 5 minutes to let it reset.  Then reprogram the controller.  It could be that when you unplugged it originally the progrmming was lost, and the reason it wont water is that there is no water time programmed for the zones.
