Irrigation - Irrigation

Question
Hi Mr. Grote,
First thank you for your time and effort to answer this question of mine.
We are in an island in the middle of Pacific Ocean and it is called Guam. It is a US Territory.
The city water preasure is only 40-50 PSI and sometimes it goes down to 30 PSI.
The main Pipe for irrigation is 1 1/2 inch.
I'm planning to use  1 1/2 Remote Control Valve (RCV)(Rainbird)Model PES-B.  My question is what are the minimun and maximun number of 12 inch Spray Heads and Rotor Heads I can put in one 1 1/2 RCV? How about for 1 inch RCV?

Answer
Tedi,
Not much pressure to work with. When it goes down to 30 psi the heads probably won't come up. The size of the valve isn't going to help you as far as the pressure. So either consider a pump or go no more than 3 heads per zone. ANd even then watchj the nozzle size in those heads. The farther you get from the source or tap the more pressure loss you will have, so keep that in mind also.

Let me know, Jim
