Irrigation/K2 sprinkler adjustment-outside slot on head

Question
What is the outside slot on top of the sprinkler head for and does it adjust anything?  The center adjustment is a screw slot?  Is this where the "arc" is adjusted from?  Want to make sure before I try to adjust it.  If the center "screw" slot is for the "arc", then I can use a common screwdriver.  Is this correct.

Thanks
Bubba

Answer
 Bubba,

The K2 I think is the same thing as the Toro 800. We don't get K2's up where I'm at. So, I think I know what kind of head you are talking about. The center  slot should be what you turn to set the left stop. The right side is set by (turning) tightening or loosening the head slightly. It may be a ratcheting left adjust, but since I'm not sure, just do it like that. Use the right size screwdriver for the center adj. slot. It is plastic and will strip or break easy.
i have no idea what the thing on the side is though
