Question i want to design a sprinkler irrigation system of orchard(e.g the layout of trees in an orchard or location of beds). At this stage i am only willing to irrigate 2 hectares(200m * 100m)as a trial plot and want to design the system.
Answer I assume you mean a sprinkler or drip system. You will need to know what your water supply is and how much water it can deliver (the flow rate or gallons per minute). This will determine how you proceed in designing your system. Drip systems are very simple, but require very clean water, so you would need a filter on your water supply. Sprinklers have a higher water use rate, and so you must divide the system up into units or stations depending on how much water is available, and what the use rate of the system is. I could be more specific if I knew what kind of irrigation system you want to install.
