Answer I can understand your dismay with this issue, but please realize since slavery is now also outlawed in contemporary Muslim societies, the pertaining legal prescriptions have become obsolete. Therefore it is not necessary to feel disenchanted with the more enduring aspects of the Islamic teachings.
