Question
Assalamu alaikum.my problem is that i'm created slim and my friends took that as an advantage to tease me with and called me skeleton.since i didn't like the name i started keeping myself always alone and that resulted into a sinful habit (watching sexy film and masturbating) which also resulted into serious sickness.almost 2yrs now when i became infected with gono.i tried all means to get healed but to no avail.what i like so much about myself is that i've never associate Allah with anybody i always pray to Allah alone.i stopped masturbating and watching sexy film almost one and some months now but i didn't get well.so will Allah really forgive me? Thank you

Answer
Glory be to Allah!

Wa'3aykum assalam warahmatullahe wabarakauhu!
AlHamdulillah ya Rab!

Allah has told us that he will forgive all sins for the one who repents to Him. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say: ‘O ‘Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful’” [al-Zumar 39:53]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This includes all sins, even shirk. Whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance.
Will they not turn with repentance to Allah and ask His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Maa'idah 5:73-74]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.”  Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as hasan by al-Albaani.
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him): “O ‘Amr, do you not know that Islam wipes out whatever came before it.” Narrated by Muslim, 121; Ahmad, 17861.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If a person repents to Allah, Allah accepts his repentance and forgives him. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins” [al-Shoora 42:25]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death)” [Ta-Ha 20:82]

I ask Allah to help you and to accept your repentance. Ameen
And remember one thing that hopelessness is kufr.
Allah Taala says:
Verily, none loses hope in the mercy of Allah, but a nation of unbelievers.

Benefits of Istighfaar
1. Istighfaar causes the doer to benefit in both this life and the next.
2. Allah prevents the punishment from falling on those who make Istighfaar
3. Istighfaar earns Allah’s love.
4. It opens doors for Rizq, brings ease after Hardship, and allows for the forgiveness of sins.

Here is the Du’a [Sayyid ul-Istighfaar]
The Prophet said “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: ‘Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.”
The meaning thereof:
O Allah, you are my Lord. None has the right to be worshiped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise (to You) as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You. [28]
The Prophet added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise. [Bukhari]
Another one is to say “Astaghfirullah Wa atubu Ilaihi”- 100x/day
