Question
Assalamou-3alaikoum wa Rahmatou Allah wa barakatouh,
In summer, I read Nawafeel that Mohammed( that peace and blessings be upon him) was performing, especially before and after prayers. So, I began performing them with a great pleasure.
Now, since school began, I started praying at home instead of going to the mosque for I have to prepare lessons for the morrow, have to revise what we study at school, in addition to the excercises that I should do. Everything is going in the opposite direction. When it's time for Duhr, I have to bring my brother to school, then it's too late to go to the mosque. When it's Maghreb, I'm still in class studying. After I finish school, I have to cross a very long road, then I sweat. So, then I have to take a bath to be pure for Maghreb. Directly after I finish, it's Ishaa. Then I'm obliged to perform my prayer at home with no nawafeel, for my mum oblige me to have dinner, in addition to the cluster of excericises that I have to do before the next day comes. I look at the clock, it's 11:00 or 12:00 pm. My mum tells me I have to sleep at least for 7 hours. WHich means I must wake up to pray an hour after fajr.
Sometimes I feel I'm miles away from Allah. Alhamdulilah, I can have a little time for learning Quran by heart.
But I feel far from Allah more when I see a friend of mine doing almost all nawafeels. But he doesn't have revisions or preparations. He spend almost all his time in religious things_That Peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Mohammed.

Answer
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim (In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

Assalmalaikum

Dear Brother,

I am happy to learn about your commitment to islam. If you are so carefull about nawafils then you may hardly miss the Fardh. May Allah accept your dedication and reward you with Paradise Firdaus...ameen.

Nawafils can be skipped or prayed later but dont skip the fardh. It should be observed in its specific times.

[Quran 29:45] Recite (O Prophet Muhammad) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Quran), and perform As-Salat (5 times prayer). Verily, As-Salat prevents from Al-Fahsha (great sins) and Al-Munkar (disbelief) and the remembering  of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed. And Allah knows what you do.

[Quran 2:238] Guard strictly your prayers, especially the Middle prayer, and stand before Allah (God) in a devout (frame of mind).

AbuDawud Book 002, Hadith Number 0863.
------------------------------
Narated By AbuHurayrah

The first thing about which the people will be called to account out of their actions on the Day of Judgment is prayer. Our Lord, the Exalted, will say to the angels - though He knows better: Look into the prayer of My servant and see whether he has offered it perfectly or imperfectly. If it is perfect, that will be recorded perfect.
If it is defective, He will say: See there are some optional prayers offered by My servant. If there are optional prayer to his credit, He will say: Compensate the obligatory prayer by the optional prayer for My servant. Then all the actions will be considered similarly.

Bukhari Volumn 001, Book 010, Hadith Number 571.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By Anas : The Prophet said, "If anyone forgets a prayer he should pray that prayer when he remembers it. There is no expiation except to pray the same." Then he recited: "Establish prayer for My (i.e. Allah's) remembrance." (20.14).
