AoA,
i was not able to give my zakat last year but this year i can give teh zakat for this year and the previous year. some people say that i should give the zakat on the gold rate of today and some say it has to be of previous year. im confused kindly let me know.
also is it haram for women to use metal of any sort on their body

I think you should give as per the gold rate of today if it is higher that previous year in order to ward off any shortfall in the zakaat amount. I am sorry but this is my personal opinion.

do you mean shaving of pubes ?? There is no evidence from hadith that metals cannot be used to shave the pubes. Below is the hadith the emphasizes in "shaving"

Bukhari Volumn 007, Book 072, Hadith Number 779.
