Question
I am involved in an extramarital affair and i want to get over with it.. i have tried SEVERAL times in every way but everytime after a month or 2 it starts again (wid the same guy) i reallly really want to get rid of it.. i pray cry beg Allah for this but the evil always wins.. PLEASE tell me a dua or ayat which i can recite all the time to get me away from this shameful act... PLEASE HELP!! ((Plus reason for my affair is that v loved eachother before marriage bt then i was forced to marry some1 else and as my parents made commitment i couldnt say no because of their name and prestige. ))

Praise be to Allah!

Assalamoalaykum warahamtullah!

You can't claim it love, it is known as haram relation. Since you want to get rid of it; you should know the reason behind it, in order to diminish it completely, Insha'Allah.

This is fitnah caused by Shaytaan, what he does is keep trying until he tempts you.
Eg: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded those who heard of the Dajjal to keep away from him, and said that a man may approach him as a believer, but the Dajjal will keep trying until he leads him astray.

So what you've to do is to fear Allah and untie/break all relations/connections/correspondence with this man. Sincerely repent for what you've done.

:. Fear Allah + no contact = absence of shaytaan + no temptation = peace of soul & mind.

Recommended surah: Surah Yaseen with intention of hedayaah.
Ayaat Al`kursee, it keeps shaytaan away (after each salah/prayer)

These dua'as will bring you closer to Allah (subhanahu wa-t’ala) and also keep shaytaan away (Insha'Allah):
اللّهُـمَّ اغْفِـرْ لي ذَنْـبي كُلَّـه ، دِقَّـهُ وَجِلَّـه ، وَأَوَّلَـهُ وَآخِـرَه وَعَلانِيَّتَـهُ وَسِـرَّه .
Allahummagh-fir lee thanbee kullah, diqqahu wajillah, wa-awwalahu wa-akhirah, wa- AAalaniyyatahu wa-sirrah.
‘O Allah, forgive me all of my sins, the small and great of them, the first and last of them, and the seen and hidden of them.’

ربنا افرغ علينا صبرا وثبت اقدامنا وانصرنا على القوم الكافرين
Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance and make our foothold sure and give us help against those who reject faith.

**ربنا اغفر لنا ذنوبنا واسرافنا فى امرنا وثبت أقدامنا وانصرنا على القوم الظالمين**
“Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and the lack of moderation in our doings, and make firm our steps and secure us against those who deny the truth.”

**ربنا أتمم لنا نورنا واغفر لنا إنك على كل شئ قدير**
“Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us our sins, for verily You have power over all things.”

**ربنا إنك من تدخل النار فقد أخزيته وما للظالمين من أنصار**
“Our Lord! Whomsoever You shall commit to the Fire, truly You have brought [him] to disgrace, and never will wrongdoers find any helpers” {3:192}

اللهم فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وكفر عنا سيئاتنا وتوفنا مع الأبرار
“Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and efface our bad deeds and take our souls in the company of the righteous”

FOR MERCY: رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةً۬ وَهَيِّئۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَمۡرِنَا رَشَدً۬ا
“Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose our affair for using the right way!”

Sayyid ul-Istighfaar
The Prophet said “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: ‘Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.”

Benefits of Istighfaar
1. Istighfaar causes the doer to benefit in both this life and the next.
2. Allah prevents the punishment from falling on those who make Istighfaar
3. Istighfaar earns Allah’s love.
4. It opens doors for Rizq, brings ease after Hardship, and allows for the forgiveness of sins.
