QuestionAssalamualikum,
I would just like to clarify if this is true. I was told that you can not enter your bed with your outdoor/work clothes as this makes the bed napaak, and if you go to a persons house where some people enter the room with shoes on and you sit on the floor this makes your clothes/socks napaak is this true as I am confused as to if this is true then why are we allowed to pray our namaaz in these clothes, please clarify.
Also, after going to toilet, i understand we are requires to wash hands 3 times? Does this mean we use handwash 3 times?
Can we pick up objects that are dropped on the floor/carpet where people walk? Do we need to clean hands after?
AnswerPraise be to Allah!
Wa'3laykum assalam warahmatullahe wabarakatuhu!
I am quite glad at your such deep consideration regarding purity (tahaarah). But personally, I never heard about such things before. The only thing you should know is that there is nothing wrong with the things(shoes/socks/clothes...etc) unless there is any najaasah (impurity) or visible dirt on them. And brother, washing hands 3 times is required while making waduoo.
Abu Hurairah, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said :
"...removing harmful things from pathways is sadaqah."
Thus, you can pick up objects that are dropped on floor/carpet/ground and if you feel like to wash your hands then go ahead (as it depends on the object). But be sure about the purity of it & ground.
Hope it's clear now. Insha'Allah.
And Allah knows best!
