Questionassalamwaliakum...i wud like to know if a muslim woman can pursue career in admisnistrative services and politics....my intentions are goood and i want to be at power to work honestly and help peple in this field....i do maintain the hijab...so is it good???

Dear Sister,
I respect your ambition. Muslim women can pursue such courses and work for the upliftment of women. If such job requires you to sacrifice your responsibilities such as rearing the children, attending to husband, etc then you should consider leaving it.
[Quran 4:34] Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband's property, etc.)......
