Islam - How to get urinated carpet clean?

Expert: Imam Habeeb - 11/6/2009

Question
Aslam o alaikkum
sometimes if a baby urinates on carpet, then it is quite hard to remove whole carpet and wash it away with water to make it clean (taharat).
what should be done in this case? is it enough to make it dry by some heater or something like this?
Also tell if carpet gets najis with some other kind of "ghalaazat"
then what should be done?
Jazak Allah
Wasim

Answer
Baby filth is clean until weaning ehnce no need to worry, just clean as normal. Clean the carpet by wiping and drying is good enough and you don't need to wash the whole thing even after they grow an start eating solids.

You can pray on the carpet and if you want just spread another mat on it and pray.
