Islam - Curse

Question
Assalaamualaikum,
my name is Mohammed Nauman, I am 31 years old, I have
two sisters and a brother, I am the eldest amongst the
siblings and my brother is the youngest, my brother doesn't
respect me and often keeps quarreling and fighting with me,
I'll narrate a short incident, which happened
between us, one day, my brother and I had a quarrel on a
small incident, which took place in our house, he started
abusing me with filthy words, and also went to the extent
of threatening to hang and stab me to death. I was very
upset and when my mother came back home, I complained to
her about his behavior, in a fit of anger, I cursed my
younger brother, that one day he'll marry a non-Muslim.
I am working in a small sized company, here
I met a non Muslim girl, initially I was not so much
attracted to her, but a few days after that scuffle with my
brother, I started liking that girl, and gradually fell in
love with her.
Now, I am worried that, neither my religion nor
my parents will accept her.
I am wondering, why my curse, for my brother, has
boomeranged on me,
My question to you is, why Allah had made all the
things happen to me? I mean, the words which I used to
curse my brother, has exactly happened to me, I am really
shocked and don't know what to do. Could it be because, my
brother is very pious and religious, and offers his
obligatory prayers without fail? and my last question to
you is, is it right on the part of my brother to scold me,
disregard and disrespect me?

Assalamalalaikum

Dear Nauman,

Allah warns his followers to say kind and generous words in a speech as shaitan is listening and will take advantage of it.

[Quran 17:53] And say to My slaves that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaitan (Satan) verily, sows disagreements among them. Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is to man a plain enemy.

Do astaghfar and tauba and do not ever curse any muslim brother. Your relationship with this girl is illegal. So please if you wish to marry her, ask her hand in marriage and get her to accept islam and marry her. Then there is no problem.

[Quran 19:59] Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the 5 prayers) and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.

[Quran 19:60] Except those who repent and believe (have faith), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.

[Quran 20:132] And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them. We ask not of you a provision We provide for you. And the good end  is for the Muttaqun (pious).

[Quran 29:45] Recite (O Prophet Muhammad) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Quran), and perform As-Salat (5 times prayer). Verily, As-Salatprevents from Al-Fahsha' (great sins) and Al-Munkar (disbelief) and the remembering  of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed. And Allah kn ows what you do.

[Quran 2:238] Guard strictly your prayers, especially the Middle prayer, and stand before Allah (God) in a devout (frame of mind).
