Questionassalaamalaikum
my name is omar and I am 24 yr old unmarried man. of late I am dreaming same dream, I dont know what is the meaning of this dream. In my dream I go to masjid (mosque) but I cant pray. when ever I try to pray some thing or other happens and I cant pray and its always the same masjid. I was very much invovled with that mosque in my childhood. now I have moved to Australia. In my dream I go to mosque but not to pray but do some worldly things. I dream like there is function in the mosque or there is other worldly activity in the mosque and i realise in my dream that its a mosque and that thing should not happen here. I am confused with my dreams, may be Allah tala is not happy with me and wants me to improve my faith. can you please help me by explaining my dream in the light of quran and sunnah. it will be a great help for me.
Thanks

Assalmalaikum
Dear Umar,
The dream looks like an indication of your inclination towards islam. Perhaps you are in the habit of leaaving salaat for worldy affairs.
If this is the case, then be punctual and be steadfast in prayer.
[Quran 19:59] Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the 5 prayers) and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.
[Quran 19:60] Except those who repent and believe (have faith), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.
[Quran 20:132] And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them. We ask not of you a provision We provide for you. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (pious).
[Quran 29:45] Recite (O Prophet Muhammad) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Quran), and perform As-Salat (5 times prayer). Verily, As-Salatprevents from Al-Fahsha' (great sins) and Al-Munkar (disbelief) and the remembering of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed. And Allah kn ows what you do.
[Quran 2:238] Guard strictly your prayers, especially the Middle prayer, and stand before Allah (God) in a devout (frame of mind).
[Quran 4:101] When you travel through the earth, there is no blame on you if you shorten your prayers, for fear the Unbelievers May attack you: For the Unbelievers are unto you open enemies.
[Quran 4:102] When thou (O Apostle) art with them, and standest to lead them in prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with you, Taking their arms with them: When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the rear. And let the other party come up which has not yout prayoud - and let them pray with you, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms: the Unbelievers wish, if you were negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush. But there is no blame o n you if you put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because you are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah (God) has prepared a humiliating punishment.
[Quran 4:103] When you pass (Congregational) prayers, celebrate Allah (God)'s praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down on your sides; but when you are free from danger, set up Regular prayers: For such prayers are enjoined on believers at stated times.
Bukhari Volumn 001, Book 010, Hadith Number 571.

Narated By Anas : The Prophet said, "If anyone forgets a prayer he should pray that prayer when he remembers it. There is no expiation except to pray the same." Then he recited: "Establish prayer for My (i.e. Allah's) remembrance." (20.14).
Also I wish to remind you that islamic greeting used by Prophet Muhammed is "Salamalaikum" and not "Allah hafiz" as is increasing common during these days. SO please try to abide by the Sunnah.
