Question
QUESTION: if a person who follows the Koran is working outdoors where they have to wear personal protective equipment at all times, how should they go about doing there prayers, and should there prayers interfere with there work?

ANSWER: As Salaam Alikum!

Koran has commanded all Muslims to address each other with a ' Salaam' whenever they meet or
write to each other and also to the others who knows the meaning of ' Salaam'.

Am reproducing the Ayats from the Koran which are self explanatory:

20:2
We did not reveal the Quran to you, to cause you any hardship.

22:78
You shall strive for the cause of God as you should strive for His cause. He has chosen you
and has placed no hardship on you in practicing your religion - the religion of your father
Abraham. He is the one who named you "Submitters" originally. Thus, the messenger shall serve
as a witness among you, and you shall serve as witnesses among the people. Therefore, you
shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and hold
fast to God; He is your Lord, the best Lord and the best Supporter.

2:185
Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people,
clear teachings, and the statute book. Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein.
Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. God wishes for
you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify God for
guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

3:108
These are God's revelations; we recite them to you, truthfully. God does not wish any hardship
for the people.

So, if anyone who is forced to wear protective equipment all the time and while salat(prayers)
time, then one can offer one's salat in the protective gear and if the protective gear do not
permit certain postures in the salat, then one can just stand and imagine those postures and
offer the salat.

Further, if the protective gear is an hindrance to perform ablution, then one can just touch
the dry sand or a dry clean wall with the hand to do the dry ablution and offer the salat.

The Almighty Allah knows what's inside in every one's heart to accept the Salat if one
performs in good faith in the way described above under those circumstances.

May the Almighty Allah have mercy on us to forgive our sins and guide us all to the true path
of Islam as per the Koran for rest of our life.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: hi what should a person do if they are manning a gate (opening and shutting it for vehicles entering a place )and a vehicle comes to gate while they are doing salat?

Answer
As Salaam Alaikum!

Koran has commanded all Muslims to address each other with a ' Salaam' whenever they meet or
write to each other and also to the others who knows the meaning of ' Salaam'.

Well, the salat that Muslims offer are 5 and 3 times in a day.

Sunnis sect Muslims offer 5 times salat at the following times before Sunrise (Fajr) 2 units
of farz, noon 4 units (farz), afternoon 4 units (farz),sunset 3 units(farz) and in the night 4
units (farz)

However Shia's combines noon with afternoon and sunset with night to make it 3 times.

And each timing of salat ends succeeding with the time of next salat timing.

And for your information each salat will not take more than 2 minutes since one has to recite
twice or 3 or 4 times chapter Al - Fateha in each unit depending on units of salat at each
salat time while standing.

Am reproducing that chapter below and if you read to study it, you will be surprised that it is
but like the'Lord's prayer.

1:1
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1:2
Praise be to God, Lord of the universe.
1:3
Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1:4
Master of the Day of Judgment.
1:5
You alone we worship. You alone we ask for help.
1:6
Guide us in the right path;
1:7
the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers.

Every time after saying the above chapter, you bow & prostrate 2 or 3 or 4 times depending on
the units against each time of salat by saying Allah Akbar while bowing and then say in bowing
postures Rabbya Al-Azeem' glorifying the name of the Almighty Allah.

And while reverting to standing posture you say 'Sami-a Allah Le-man Hamedahu'(God hears those
who praise Him)and again while going to prostrate you say Allahu Akbar (God is great)and then
say '"Subhana Rabbya Al-A'ala' ( "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.")during
prostrating posture and then while reverting to sitting position you say Allahu Akbar again.

These postures are repeated twice in a single unit of 2,4,4,3,4 units against units on each
salat times.

And finally you end salat in sitting position by turning your head each time to right and left
saying 'As Salaam Alaikum'

So the above salat will not take more than 2 minutes of each salat against the times orrdained.

So, please tell where in the world our work do not give us a 2 minute break every 3 hours
during office/factory/business hours.

Now, do you think salat is coming in way of anyone's work or daily chores.

The Almighty Allah do forgive if one cannot offer salat due to illness, during war times and
any natural catastrophe or on any other situation that's beyond human's control or one's life
is in danger.

May the Almighty Allah have mercy on us to forgive our sins and guide us all to the true path
of Islam as per the Koran for rest of our life.
