Can one pray for non-muslim who loves Imam Hussain(a.s) and mourns for him?

the name of the person does not matter. As long as he keeps away from shirk and kufr and believes in Islam's truth and beliefs, one can pray for him, otherwise one cannot pray for a non-believer. Many converts are told that they can prayy for pray for guidance for a non-Muslim.
