As Salaam Alaikum!

The Koran is very clear when ablution is obligated on a Muslim & what breaks ablution in the verse 5:6 & on dry ablution in

the verse 4:42.

But no where the Koran is compelling us for an ablution before

touching or reciting the Koran.

Further, am reproducing below verses in word to word English translation that you may also check any other recognized ones

on internet to make you understand what am driving at.

This is an honorable Quran.

In a protected book.

None can grasp it except the sincere.

Further, the hadith narrated by the scholar is reflecting Omar

Caliph in poor light as a women beater in fact.

Asthakhfirullah, am sure Caliph Omar wouldn't have stooped down to beating his won sister or any other woman for that matter. But in show importance of ablution the beating of sister would have been included.

Just imagine how would Caliph would have commanded respect if he did not respect women and is a women beater that is totally

against Koranic injunctions.

Hope the below verse of the Koran makes you reflect upon to arrive at a wise decision as to when ablution is obligated.

May the Almighty Allah have mercy on us to forgive our sins & guide us all to the true path of Islam as per the Koran for rest of our life.
