Hi free minds
Actually if you read the Quran properly and understand it there are many verses that say the righteous are those who follow the quran and sunnah and that is Allahs word, he has told us to follow his words and the teachings of prophet Muhammad PBUH, so i think u have just contradicted yourself and are opposing Gods word.

to the above reply, what u on about? Sunnah/hadith are the sayings of our beloved prophet. Yes the Quran is what we go by which gives us the rules of living e.g read namaaz give zakaah etc AND the sunnah is there to support the Quran by telling us HOW. e.g how to read namaaz, how many rakaahs or how much zakaah to giv in what curcimstances and how. dont state things if u dont no the facts.

Please i do not mean to put down your faith, but if u can look into it....
Allah (SWT) NOT GOD... there is a difference... has revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) for a reason, just as he sent down then bible to Jesus, but Because Muhammad (SAWS) is the last and final prophet sent by Allah (SWAT) than we are to follow him and his book The Holy Quran. It is impossible to follow ONLY the Quran without following the sunnah of the prophet... do u know why?
il give som examples...
-The Quran states to pray... But it does not state HOW. If it was not for Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) asking Allah (SWT)to make it 5 times a day... than we would not know it is that amount and not 50 etc.
it says to make wudu, but does not say how,
it say to perform Hajj, but not in spesific... and these are again, only a few examples.. so do your research properly instead of following the rules of others thoughts.
Jazak Allah Khair.
Inshallah i did not mean to offend....Allah (SWT) knows best!

You should not seem so confident when saying that Hadiths and the way of the Sunnah are not part of Islam.
On the contrary they are the words and ways of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and he is the one that all of us, as Muslims should follow for he is the best example there ever was including his companions and his wives (may Allah be pleased with them all). You should fear Allah that you are wrongfully guiding this sister by your statement.
In saying that I will assume that you are either from a different sect or a different religion hence your poor knowledge in the Deen.
So may Allah guide you.
As for sister Amina, I suggest you find an authentic website to ask your question or purchase authentic books. If they are in relation to the Sunnah that is a bonus for you Insha'Allah.
I hope you find your answer.
