Question a brother (adam) has reverted to islam, but his wife did not. he advised her many times and she did eventually say shahadah, so he then did the nikah with her.
he has come to realise that she only said shahadah to keep the marriage because they both love each other deeply and to not want to live without each other.
She prays, fasts, gives zakah, and has been to make umrah in ramadan.
but she insists that she will only cover sometimes and not all of the time, and has admitted that she still doubts that islam is the true religion.
it has been two years and he can see that she still persists in kufr. he wants to remain married with her, but can see that she does not have interests in islam in the way that he does, and he feels that he cannot practise islam in the way that he would like to, as she is always telling him to take things slowly, and not be in a hurry to learn about islam.
Please advise whether he should divorce or remain married to her.
Answer as long as she announced the shahadah,praying,fasting making umrah then she is a muslim,if she has some doubts about islam then it the responsiblity of her husband to teach her,to enlighten her way to the truth,but if she denies islam then she is kafir and he has to get separate from her.
