greeting to you. please,kindly tell me about the rights of spouses (husband and wives) in the medieval and contemporary muslim world. inform me also if you know about any variations among famous islamic ulamas with regards how they view the rights of spouses in islam. i am also interested in your own views on the right of spouses in islam.

I am sorry but I do not know how spousal rights and duties were in practice among the Muslims in the medieval world, and how they may practice them in the contemporary world. This discusses practices which may be deviated from the actual teachings of Islam, and cover the whole globe, and I am afraid I lack that knowledge.
