Question
Why Sunnis and Shias have different method of offering prayers (Namaz)?

Answer
It's based upon the schools of thought- Shia follow the Imam Jaaffar Sadiq who took his line of ahadith from Imam Ali and Sunnis have several lines of tranSmissions from different companionS like Ibn Masud et al. It's how the teachers of hadith interepreted the style of the Prophet.
