Question my question is in regards to the salafi movement my huband has recently accepted this way he has told me this is the only to correctly be a muslim i don't understand why i need to accept being salafi when allah said die as a muslim i choose not to associate my self with any group just because they say it's the right way to follow. please advise me in this situation i am trying my best to be the best muslim but my husband really wants me to follow this way i adhere to the sunnah as much as possible and follow the quaran. My husband is not working and he spends all day wanting to be at the mosque or talking about salafi with his friends. I am constantly working hard to provide for our family which includes our children. My perception from the salafi here is that you should not have anything and if you do then you are sinning. Please help me in this matter. I would appreciate any knowledege that you would ahve in regards to this salafi group
Answer I think you need to tell your husband to start following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet S.A.W. and to practice Islam the way the Holy Prophet S.A.W. did it or the way he would have lived it in today's world.
The Holy Prophet S.A.W. encouraged people to work and earn, rather than being a parasite and a radical extremist.
In the following verses, Allaah tells us to pray and to also seek the bounties
Ch: 62 ALLAAH SAYS:
9 O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.
10 And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful.
