Islam - salah 40 days

Expert: Dr. Hussein Labib - 8/11/2004

Question
one day this guy was saying that if you eat haram your salat is not valid for 40 days people next to me said this from a weak hadith. then i asked a couple of scholars they yes their no authenticity of the prophet(S.a.W) the only thing related to it is visitng a fortune teller now tell me if this hadith is authentic or not

Answer
muslims are amazing!!!!!eating haram will send any one to hell which is more serious topic to consider.one more point weak hadeeth could be used when it support authentic islamic teachings,in the case you mentioned, let us suppose that this hadeeth is not authentic should we eat haram because the hadeeth is weak?no of course because we know very well that the qur'an and sunnah are warning us from eating haram, here the weak hadeeth augment the main issue that eating haram is not appreciated in islam regardless of the rejected prayers mentioned in the weak hadeeth.I do not know if I succeeded in declaring my point.
