Islam - schools of shariah

Expert: Drs. Kersten - 2/1/2007

Question
what were two schools of shariah in the early days of caliphate?

Answer
There were not just two schools, but a great many. Four of those have survived until the present day: The Hanafi school, the Maliki school, the Shafi'i school, and the Hanbali school. All these are part of the Sunni tradition, the Shi;i version of Islam has its own system.
