Question Asalamualakum,
I 'm a girl never married . i receive a request of a man to be his secondwife because his wife can not give him children. He is able to support a plural marriage and promise that he will be fair between his wives.His current wife don't allow him .so he say he will hide second marriage from her. But our marriage will be stated to the public in the area where i live.
My parents admit lettinghim to pursue me because he is nice. My dad says he has a reason and a right to get a second wife.They let me to make a decision myself.
It's hard for me to make a decision. i imagine confusedly that i will live as a second wife of a married man. i know he is happy with his wife but he want kids so much. So he want a second wife. Everyone think that he is a good man who can offer a good life for me
Actually, i love him, too and want to be his second wife, giving children he want. but i don't know whether i will be a happy second wife or not. I 'm afraid of the problems that a second wife often meet. i'm searching the life of co wives and realize it is hard to live in polygamy. If trouble, the second wife often suffer pain. So i don't dare to make a decision. Sometimes i try to forget him but i cant. Some night , i dreamt that i got married with him and bore a baby. i don't know what i should do.
He insists me a chance to be a father. And i feel that i love him very much. i think that Allah is right, urging him to seek a second wife because it serves him right. i know the right of man to marry with up to 4 wives in quaran but find it difficult to practice it. i believe that polygamy is good for this situation. It help him have children and help me be married.But generally today, people often prejudice polygamist. If i 'm a second wife, i will get a lot of criticism.
i'm very confused, looking forward to your advice.

Answer regardless of his problem of not having kids from the first marriage,he has the full right to remarry as you mentioned up to four wives and you have the right to accept to be one of those wives,the most important thing is:is this halal or haram?we should not put the idiotic human thoughts in considerations,only consider God and His Commandments.
regardless of your feelings towards him,if the man is a righteous muslim man then do not miss him.
