Question If you were planning to visit Israel in April, would that be a good month(weather-wise)?
Answer April is fine. Not hot yet, but should be over the worst of winter. You can expect a combination of weather. Could still be cool in Jerusalem however. On second thoughts, I think May would be better. You could still get wintry weather in Jerusalem. Make sure the Jerusalem hotel ( http://www.hotels-in-jerusalem.com ) you choose has heating!In May, weather would be pleasant in Tel Aviv, and even hot on the Dead Sea. Good Luck!
