Question
do you think that America could be the North or the South in the book of Daniel chapter 11? or that Obama(smile)could be the guy in verse 20? please answer fairly simply, huh?

Answer
Hi Debbie,

In answer to your question, I always answer fairly simply.

The answers I give below are only based on my personal opinions.

The south king that is mentioned in Dan. 11:5 could be any leader of a country that's located south of Israel's latitude. I believe that would be the king of Saudi Arabia. The king's daughter could refer to the many Arab immigrants in either the European Union or Britain (but not the United States). The king of the north could therefore probably refer to the head-of-state of either the EU or Britain. I believe that Saudi Arabia will make an agreement of some kind with either of these two entities and somehow, that will lead to the demise of both of them. In fact, it's already happening. In Europe, Arabs have taken over many locales and have conducted several intifadas and violent demonstrations. They make no secret that they want the European countries submit to Sharia law. In Saudi Arabia, with its absolute monarchy, civil unrest is always just around the corner.

I don't believe that Obama is the one being referred to in verse 20. That verse specifically says "he shall be destroyed neither in anger nor in battle". That sounds like a description of an arrogant person and I don't think Obama is like that. Nor could it be any of the leaders in Iran because it says "within a few days he shall be destroyed..." and they've been in power for longer than a few days. But it could very well refer to either a future American or European president. These are just my person opinions.

So do you think that was fairly simply enough?
