Israel/Middle East (News & Politics) - Islam

Question
I heard that the term "conflict between Arabs and Israel" is not correct, and the correct one is between Muslims all over the world and the aggressor Jews.
So the place "Palestine" is for Muslims not for Arabs, and I heard that the term "conflict between Arabs and Israel" is not correct, and the correct one is between Muslims all over the world and the aggressor Jews.
So the place "Palestine" is for Muslims not for Arabs, and religion case not nationalism
Also, in all history, Jews never had there own country, they always been lived under the protection of Muslims or Christians in all over the world.
So, why they won’t to kill and occupy others lands now?? And why Palestine, why not USA or Canada ….??
Do they have any reverence other than lies about the promise land??
If so, according to Islam, the lord promises them with the whole world to be Muslims?
Why believe in them, while they don’t believe in Christains and Muslims?
But as I know Muslims do believe in Jews and Christians……

Answer
Hi AMA,

I don't know who told you these things about Jews and Israel but I suggest you simply ignore them. People who believe such things, do so because of shear baseless, bloodthirsty, hate and nothing else. There is a name for people like that. They're called anti-Semites. The difference between legitimate criticism of Israel and anti-Semitism is that legitimate criticism is based on fact; anti-Semitism, like Jews killing and occupying other people's lands, is not. So I'll just assume you aren't one of those and are open to listening to the other side.

Jews are not the aggressors. Just look at a map. Israel is a small country and Arab territory is vast, larger than the United States, and much of it has been stolen from other peoples. (Not everybody in the Middle East is Arab or Jewish.) Also, not all Muslims hate Jews and not all Muslims are Arab. Jews and Israel have either always, or recently had, good relations with some in the Islamic world - Turkey, the Muslim countries in Central Asia, Bosnia, Albania and Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, the Circassians, many bedouin tribes, the followers of Maulana Jamil Ilyasi in India, Sheikh Abdel Hadi Palazzi of the Islam-Israel Fellowship, Nonie Darwish President of Arabs for Israel, and many, many more. Believe it or not, about 70% of the people of Iran support Israel although they're afraid to say anything. In short, there are good Muslims and bad Muslims. What percentage of the good Muslims there are in the Islamic world, that I just don't know.

Just because Jews live everywhere in the world doesn't mean that they never had a country. Israel is the ancestral Jewish homeland. That's simply a fact. Modern Israel is simply the reestablishment of Biblical Israel and the Jews are its indigenous people, living there for almost 4000 years. Even though the Romans exiled hundreds of thousands of Jews from their homeland 2000 years ago doesn't mean that Jews stopped living there. (An anti-Semite, on the other hand, would say that the Romans exiled ALL Jews.) Jewish immigration to Israel from the Diaspora throughout the centuries might be the one unique thing that distinguishes Israel from other countries.

Historically, the Arabs are the newcomers. The first Arabs came to Israel in the 7th century and were "nice" enough to grant the indigenous Jews, dhimmi, protected 2nd class citizens. Sometimes this was good or bad depending on the whim of the Muslim ruler. And when it was a bad whim, and it often was, it was very bad for the Jews. In fact, it was the same for all non-Muslim peoples throughout the Middle East.

The present Arab-Israeli conflict is called "the Arab-Israeli conflict" because of simple geography. Israel is located in a part of the world dominated by Arabs. But the conflict is just as much about religion as nationalism. Because of the Muslim feeling of  superiority, Muslims tend to show how loving Islam is - and Islam IS loving but not the way radicals show it, namely that the Koran is tolerant enough to incorporate both Christian and Jewish beliefs. What they don't tell you is that Christianity also incorporates Jewish beliefs and Judaism stands alone because it was the first of the three great monotheistic religions. RE land, in Jewish religious tradition, God promised Israel to the Jews. Muslims and Christians have their religous beliefs about land and Jews have theirs. Also, there has always been a pan-Arab movement since the 20s and the only country standing in the way of complete Arab unity, from there perspective and if there ever was such a thing, is Israel.
