I know that you are an expert in Isuzu's but their are no experts in the honda area and I see you had some expertise in a honda passort before so I thought I'd see if you could answer this question. My 2000 Honda Odessey is idled high too high. The scanner read that the TPS and the idle control valve is the problem but when they were tested it showed they are working correctly. there are no vacuum leaks either...can you tell me what is the problem?
ANSWER: Sounds like an intake vacuum problem Hyer. Take some carb cleaner and spray it around the intake gaskets ans if you see any bubbling or it sucking it in, then theres your problem. Although the TPS and the IAC could come up normal, if they are inexpensive just replace them as im sure they need to be anyway if its a 2000. Any more questions will be happily answered as well Hyer.

QUESTION: Thanks for your attempt but as I mentioned before, there isn't any vacummm leaks. The TPS on this modle is ribited to the throttle body also. It would be assame to have to spend 5oo.oo replacing the throttle body and that not solve the problem. Any other suggestions?
Thans.
Answer Well the intake gasket on these models Hyer is VERY common to cause high idle and idling problems trust me I have ran into more than a few. I would have your engine pressure checked and also the throttle body could have a good amount of gunk in it causing problems as well.
