Question I have a 98 Amigo 2.2 4wd. I have been having problems with batteries, they keep going bad on me. I finally gave up and replaced the alternator. Still nothing is charging. I was told its a voltage regulator. The Isuzu dealer here in lexington KY is now closed, so everything has to be shipped. Is there any way of testing to see if mine is bad before i order one? I also can not find mine to begin with. Will you please email me back. Thank you so much.
Dan
Answer Well the voltage regulator is located on the alternator and a good thing to do is remove the alternator and take it to a local NAPA auto parts store and have the entire thing tested. Also check your charging system for any burnt, or stiff wires as wel as loose or bad connections. Although the alternator sounds at fault Dan. I apologize for the delay.
