Dear Maria,

Can you please tell me if the following questions and answers are correct or not:

Question:  Come stai?  How are you?

Possible Answers:   

Sto bene.   I am well.
Sto male.   I am not well.
Sono stanco.   I am tired.
Sono malato.   I am sick.
Ho fame.   I am hungry.
Ho sete.   I am thirsty.
Ho sonno.   I am sleepy.
Ho freddo.   I am cold.
Ho caldo.   I am hot.



Question:  Sei stanco?   Are you tired?

Possible Answers:   

Sì, sono stanco.   Yes, I am tired.
No, no sono stanco.   No, I am not tired.
No, sto bene.      No, I am ok.


Question:  Hai fame?  Are you hungry?

Possible Answers:   

Sì, ho fame.      Yes, I am hungry.
No, no ho fame.          No, I am not hungry.
No, sto bene.      No, I am ok.


I am trying to make sure that I am using the correct verbs (stare, essere, or avere) in the above questions and answers.

Well done! Make  sure that you are using the correct verbs (stare, essere, or avere) in the above questions and answers.

The only  remark I have to make is that you spelt a word incorrectly  in  “No, no sono stanco” and “ No, no ho fame”, since you should have written “No, NON sono stanco” and “ No, NON ho fame”.
