Dear Maria,

Can you please tell me if the following time expressions are correct or not:

  le 5 e 10 =  5:10
  sono le 5 e 10  =  it is 5:10  
  le 5,10  =  5:10  
  sono le 5,10    =  it is 5:10
  
  l1 e 15  =  1:15
    l1 e 15  =  it is 1:15  
  l1,15   =  1:15
    l1,15  =  it is 1:15  

  
  le 2 e 30  = 2:30
  sono le 2 e 30  = 2:30
  le 2,30   =  2:30
  sono le 2,30   =  2:30

I just wanted to make sure that it is correct to use either the conjunction e or a comma as shown in the above examples.

It is correct to use either the conjunction e or a comma as well as a full stop, as shown in the following examples:

-le 5 e 10
-sono le 5 e 10  
-le 5,10  / le 5.10
-sono le 5,10 / sono le 5.10  

-l1 e 15  
-  l1 e 15   
-l1,15  / l1.15  
- l1,15 /   l1.15


-le 2 e 30
-sono le 2 e 30
-le 2,30 / le 2.30
-sono le 2,30  / sono le 2.30
