Question
Dear Maria,

Would you please tell me if I am correct to think that “un vestito di lana”  can be translated as either:   “a woolen dress”   and/or    “a dress made of wool”.

Would I also be correct to think that “di lana” is a “complemento di materia” ?

Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,

Rich

Answer
Dear Rich,

you are  correct in thinking  that “un vestito di lana” can be translated as either “a woollen dress”  and/or    “a dress made of wool”.

Also, you are right in thinking that  “di lana” is a “complemento di materia” as “di lana” denotes  the material of which the dress consists/is made.

I miei più cordiali saluti.

Maria
