Italy - capri

Question
9/7/08 arriving Sorrento for four days. I would like to visit Pompeii on day and then Capri one day. Is it feasible to see blue grotto, Augusts Gardens, MT. Solaris (taking chair) and Villa Jovis in one day? I am not familiar with distances between these sites so I cannot  plan a schedule. Your suggestion is appreciated.

Answer
Hello,
with public means I'm afraid that it will take too long to visit all the sites you mentioned; maybe if you have a rental car you can make it. I always suggest to avoid renting cars, specially when you don't know the roads and specially in dangerous places like the Sorrento/Amalfi coast where you do have to keep close attention to the road (so you cannot enkoy the view). I suggest you to take a private car, maybe it will be a little bit more expansive, but you will certainly see everything and you won't have the stress of driving.
You can try http://www.jackthedriver.com or http://www.amalfi-drive.com/index.html (ask of Fabrizio)

Have fun,
Edoardo
