Question
Hello,
I am a 21 year old college student traveling to Rome this January. I plan on going with my best friend but since he didn't buy the ticket yet i have a feeling he might not come. I really want to go regardless because this is one of my dreams, and i only have limited time before i will not be able to do this again. would you suggest going alone?? I plan on staying one or two nights with family members(i have never met), and plan on spending the others in hostels. I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice on this, as well as any great spots to visit, because I plan on going all over the country. I already know of the "popular" tourist locations, and if you could suggest any other locations where i would be able to meet other college/young people(since i might go alone) i would greatly appreciate it. thank you so much

Answer
Dear friend,

Charlie is both masculine and feminine name
Who r u ? As my advises may differ according of which sex r u belonging.
By the tune of your message I may think u r a girl and on yr place I should be much thinkfull before coming alone to Italy. First of all to be carefull to get hospitality by a family u do not know.
Then how do u organize yr italian trip visiting italy ? By train,by car hicking ? In this second case absolutely negative my opinion.
When is yr trip planned ? During winter and spring seasons all italian universities r opened and welcome foreign students in their clubs, meetings. Not the same during the summer and next season.
Italian spots, places to visit ? But Rome of which u surely know where to go I cld reccomand Florence and ofcourse Venice, the ligurian east riviera 5 Terre too. Then south going the Amalfi coast,Pompei.
Wether u r a guy no problem to come alone to Italy but u do not r a particular strange boy and not a normal one.
Ciao,
territalia
