Hi Lisa. We will be travelling from Naples to Sorrento and Positano by car. I can remember this journey as a child and that there were tunnels along the route cut out of the cliffside.  Sounds a strange question I know but please can you tell me how long these tunnels are as I am a little claustrophobic and want to prepare myself for the journey without freaking out!!! Alternatively if we take the Vesuvia are there tunnels on this route. Regards Mandy

Hi Mandy, I have to say, this is a most unusual question. I really don't have a definitive answer, but check out this video. It might help you get an idea of some of the tunnels, help you to prepare yourself emotionally for the drive, and maybe even get excited about what you'll see:
