Question Hi, my husband & I are going to Rome for 3 nights at the end of June. Being a sun & sea lover we want to go to a beach for the best part of a day while there.
We want to go somewhere no more then about 1 hour away with a train station near the coast or easy to get to. Somewhere that is clean & not too busy & with some charm.
After doing some research Sperlonga looks the most amazing but it seems a bit far for a day trip as we are not in Italy for long.
Nettuno/Anzio again looks nice
Fregene looks ok but doesn’t have great reviews
These are the one's I’ve found that best suit what we want but I need help deciding which coast to visit or if there's a better place that is easier to get to from Rome.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Answer Hi Els,
among the choices you have given me I woud choose Ostia. It is the cleanest and the closest from Rome.
Sperlonga and Terracina are my favourite but much farer...
Since I do not know the plan of your vacationa and I am a travela gent I would recommend you the following:
get a tour to Amalfi and Capri. Swim in the crystal water of Capri, unwind along the shopping area and taste a good glass of wine or a great lunch...
If you like the above let me know since it is my job and I had many good ideas.
