Question Hello,
My son and I are departing The Navigator of the Seas after a family wedding on June 28th in Civitavecchia. But our plane doesn't leave until July 1st! A friend who I work with says go south. What is there to do there? Is Naples a good place to stay? What is the best form of transportation? Do I need to take the shuttle from the ship to Rome and then the train? I need help! Please.

the best thing to do would be to get a private van with a driver which alouds you to see most of the places in the shortest time.
Also, you may not miss to reserve a private local guide for the following areas:
Amalfi coast (Sorrento) and Capri
Pompei and Vesuvio.
The above mentioned tours are really unique and if you make a researh on the web you can check the beauty of Amalfi and Capri first.
I would suggest you to spend 2 nights in Sorrento. It would be one of the most beautiful part of your vacation.
