Question
We will be traveling to Milan for a cruise of Italy on 7/9.  We fly into Milan and begin our trip in Monte Carlo.  There are four of us.  Would like to rent a car for the drive to Monte Carlo, but the drop charges are extremely high.  Any advise on car rental for a four hour drive or best way to get there by train...Malpensa Airport to Monte Carlo?

Answer
Hi Maria. Try the European car rental called Kemwel at kemwel.com. See if their rates aren't better. Kemwel tends to be cheaper than the American companies. Also, make sure your vehicle is large enough for all your luggage. You'll probably need a van.

If you go by train, you will have to travel to the main train station inside Milan. There is easy public transportation or you can share a van into Milan.

Check out the train schedule at this site:

Be sure to put Monaco as your final destination when doing your train search.
