Italy/Travel from Rieti to FCO

Hi Peter,
I will be completing one leg of the St Francis Way pilgrimage from  Assisi ending in Rieti the afternoon of 4/25/15. I would like to spend the night in Rieta and then head to the Rome airport in the morning.
Is it possible to get from Rieti to FCO the following day, 4/26/15, in time for a 12:15 PM flight.

There appears to be a train and bus option.
What is the easiest, timely and the most cost effective way to get to the airport in Rome. Also please let me know what time I need to depart Rieti.

Hello Pam,

You don't mention whether your flight is a national or international flight? You will be cutting it thin getting from Rieti to FCO on Sunday (you should always write the day when asking questions about a date), April 26. And travelling on a Sunday makes it even more difficult because there will be fewer connections.

Buses to Tiburtina from Rieti:

Once at Tiburtina you can train it to FCO.

My advice is stay over in Rome on Saturday April 25 and take the airport train from Termini to FCO on Sunday morning arriving in good time to catch your flight.
