About Nancy Pratt
Expertise
My main area of expertise is the character of Admiral A. J. Chegwidden portrayed by actor John M. Jackson. I created and maintain "The Admiral Fact Book," which covers all information known about the Admiral so far from the show. However, I have watched JAG since the first episode and been involved in on-line JAG Fandom for several years and believe I can answer most general questions about the show.

Experience
I run the John M. Jackson Admiration Society, the unofficial fan club of actor John M. Jackson, and maintain its website. I also was involved in putting on the first ever JAG Convention and then went on to found the JAGFanFest - both west and east coast events. I have met almost all the actors as well as many of the writers, directors, and production staff. I occasionally write JAG fanfic, and I am the editor of The Jackson Journal, the on-line newsletter of the JMJAS.

Question
I think that DJE was fantastic on the JAG series, but what has he being doing since?  Is he in anything else that I can watch currently?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Jeannie,

Nothing that I know of currently.  He was in Close to Home as a regular in its third season, but that was cancelled, so it is not being shown.  It might be out on dvd if you haven't seen it.  He was also in an episode of Medium last season.  Most recently, he was in four episodes of a Canadian series called "The Guard," which I think (not sure) is about members of the Coast Guard.  (I believe it was originally titled "Search and Rescue.")  I don't know whether he'll be in any future episodes.  As far as I know, that does not air on American television, but if you're willing to pay for it, you can get copies of all 13 episodes on dvd.  They haven't all aired yet, so you pay for them, and they are shipped to you as they are ready.  He is also in two upcoming movies - one is called "The Rainbow Tribe" and it is now in post-production; I have no idea when it is supposed to be released.  The other is called "Gooby" - that one is still filming, so I'm guessing it wouldn't be out until 2009, but that's just my guess.

I admit to not being that knowledgeable about DJE.  I had to do some research to answer your question.  But I can tell you where to go to get the most up-to-date information and to ask questions.  There is a fansite called For DJE Fans.  The URL is http://www.fordjefans.com.  It is a fantastic site that has information about David and his career as well as his competition in golf tournaments and marathons and triathlons.  They also run various charity events - raffles or on-line auctions, and the money raised is donated in David's name to charities he supports.  It's an amazing site, and the women who run are lovely people.  One of them is a good friend of mine.  So I will direct you there for your "David fix."  They have pictures and video clips galore, plus a message board.  That is also where you could order dvds of The Guard (with the money going to charity).  I think you'll find it a terrific site, and if there is anything you want to know about David, you'll either find it there or can e-mail those folks, and they'll find it out for you.

- Nancy
